Designer Homes has recently broken ground on South Fargo's Providence at Prairie Farms; a unique townhome development that is primed to set the new standard in luxury carefree living. Marked to debut their model home during the 2020 Spring Parade of Homes, we met with Designer Homes' President, Robert Leslie, to get an exclusive, 4K sneak peek inside the idea. Perfection on the Prairie

In Providence at Prairie Farms' first phase, Designer Homes will be constructing 15 turnkey, luxury townhomes with no backyard neighbors. "Located just east of I-94 and south of 52nd Avenue, Prairie Farms is the perfect location; it is surrounded by green, open spaces with plenty of trees and walking paths that go on for miles," said Designer Homes' President, Robert Leslie. "The community is also extremely convenient and located very close to all of your day-to-day needs."

Leslie and his team have designed each 3,075 square foot home to be slab-on-grade with a full storm shelter, finished/maintained landscapes, paver patio and a private drive. Although the homes offer main level living, without reliance on stairs, the floorplan is set to provide a second-level bonus area, along with two large bedrooms and a full bath that caters to guests. Each home will have in-floor heat, high-end finishes, and a unique design to maximize every square foot with an uninterrupted view.

Behind the Design

Providence townhomes are designed to accommodate up to four garage stalls with in-floor heat and easy-access, no-step entries. Inside, beautiful vaulted ceilings give way to expansive windows, placed to harvest natural light throughout the whole main level. Main level living also features in-floor heat, a stunning master suite oasis, gourmet kitchen with butler pantry, powder room and den.

"We went for a very warm and inviting, yet modern and sophisticated feel throughout our model home," said Designer Homes' Design Specialist. "The minute you walk through the front door, you'll be greeted by rich, warm tones and open vaulted ceilings with custom wood beams. The light and warm tones of the wood flooring and custom stone fireplace with floating hearth in tow, makes this space perfect for entertaining or cozying up by the fireplace."

"We kept the space light and airy, while also adding in some bolder, contrasting pieces. With the main floor master suite away from the second-floor bedrooms, the master is truly a private oasis," said Leslie. "From a design standpoint, each space was meticulously thought out; from the fixtures to the layout, mix of metals, colors, and function."

"We found that there was a definite void in our local housing market, and not much to offer in the area of private, spacious, and carefree home options," said Leslie. "This is designed for anyone looking to simplify their lives, but not compromise on the high-quality finishes and options they've grown accustomed to in a single-family home. This can range from people with lake homes that want to simplify and reduce home maintenance, to empty nesters and snowbirds. Providence at Prairie Farms is going to elevate carefree living to a whole new level in the F-M area."

Pricing in Providence

Designer Homes is currently listing these turnkey homes starting at $659,900. Two of the 15 are presold, and units will likely sell quickly, given the neighborhood's central location and private backyards. These homes come complete with a full landscaping package, sizable green space, sprinkler system and a paver patio. Lawn care and snow removal are managed by a Home Owners Association.
