At the helm of South Fargo's surge in conceptual development, Enclave Companies have created Fargo's first lifestyle center - Uptown & Main. This self-sustaining community with a "Main Street" feel, allows residents to live, work, dine, and shop without even starting the car. Developed at the heart of Veterans Boulevard, Uptown & Main is a vibrant new community designed to integrate a mix of restaurants, retail, and office space on the ground - with 67 units of luxury apartment condos in the sky.

With businesses soon to be announced on the first floor, Uptown & Main is ready to offer a diverse experience for those want it all, within their reach. This month, Enclave Companies invites you to stroll, shop, dine, and relax along Uptown Lane.
"At Enclave, we want to create ‘enclaves’ within our communities. An enclave is meant to be a distinct place within its surrounding neighbors, so, with that in mind, each of our developments should be inspired by that vision," explained Austin Morris, co-founder of Enclave Development & Construction. "As our team has the opportunity to view unique lifestyle and mixed-use centers across the nation, and work with some of the finest master planning firms in the region, we learn from our past experiences and pull ideas from other bustling markets. Uptown & Main learned a lot from various successful lifestyle centers in the Twin Cities, Seattle, Scottsdale and Denver. And, of course, the development, construction, management, leasing, and design teams wanted to put our own spin on it."
Urban Scandinavian Living
Residents here get a truly unique living experience with an aesthetic inspired by the modern and contemporary roots of Scandinavian design. "We wanted it to feel very urban, eclectic, and refined," said BriAnna Thompson, Marketing & Design Specialist at Enclave Companies and Lux Communities. "We paid very thoughtful attention to the art and craftsmanship in the building; you’ll notice a lot of large-scale wall coverings, many of which incorporate Fargo’s history.”
“We also have custom, reclaimed wood wall hangings and a creative design touch throughout each space, like the exclusive Scandinavian wall coverings in the fourth-floor units. The design is very clean and bright - residents love the geometric tile backsplashes, the large windows for natural light, quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances."
Entertaining + Amenities
If you're looking for amenities, look no further. Uptown & Main offers a state-of-the-art fitness center with a variety of cardio and weight equipment, Peloton Bike and PRx performance rack. Residents also have heated, underground parking, trash chutes, a pet spa, and a fourth-floor club room primed for entertaining.
The Club Room
The Club Room gives residents an impressive communal space with a gourmet kitchen, pool table, bistro tables, lounge area, 60-inch TV and fireplace. "To the west of the club room, you’ll see a floor-to-ceiling NanaWall which opens up to a rooftop patio; this allows residents to bring an outdoor aspect into the club room during the spring and summer months," explained Thompson. "We have a grilling station, fireplace, and plenty of areas to lounge on the rooftop patio as well."
Uptown & Main: Luxury Apartment Condos
Uptown & Main has 21 different floor plans in one, two, and three-bedroom lease options, studios, and a unique micro-unit plan. The apartments start at 500 square feet for $795 and go up to 1,375 square feet for $1,725 per month.
"All of our units at Uptown & Main are very spacious," said Thompson. "The one, two and three bedrooms all include a desk/floating shelf area in the living space, and the penthouse units on the fourth-floor feature a really fun, exclusive wall covering and shoe closets in the master."
Studios vs. Micro-Studio
Beyond their larger apartments, Uptown & Main gives residents the option for a smaller studio apartment with a specific bedroom and living room area; zones are separated by a three-quarter wall in some units and a sliding barn door. They also take it one step further with a unique "micro-unit"; a smaller, open studio with a combined bedroom and living room space.
Commercial + Retail + Office + Housing
While Uptown & Main is getting ready to announce the first three businesses on the ground level, there are still five retail spaces available to tour. Follow them on social media and check out their site for up-to-date information.
Location & Lifestyle
"This location makes sense for a lifestyle center like Uptown & Main. Veterans Boulevard is a terrific corridor with a lot of major employers and new households nearby," said Morris. "The proximity to many lifestyle amenities, like SCHEELS’s Arena, Family Wellness Center, and Urban Plains Park further bolster this location. In the end, we loved the activity in this area, proximity to Sanford’s new hospital and easy access to I-94. The visibility and interstate access will be a boon to all our future retailers!"
