What happens when you take 10 local designers, split them into three teams, give each team an empty apartment at Pioneer Place, $500 in cash, and 24 hours to create a beautiful space?
Glorious designs for a great cause. In our second annual Midwest Nest Design Challenge, each team competed, everyone voted, and while one team may have taken home the coveted trophy, it was local non-profit, Down Home who took home all the furnishings to help local families in their transition from homeless shelters to homes.

With Midwest Nest's second anniversary upon us, it was time to celebrate in style at the rooftop patio and party room in West Fargo's Pioneer Place. Two years and over 28 national and local awards later, we have so many to thank; our readers, supporters, friends, family and especially our talented team who work tirelessly each and every month!

For our first birthday, we had to go big; nearly 6,000 square-feet big, to be exact. Partnering up with Dietrich Homes as our gracious party host, we invited our readers, family, friends, team and contributors to celebrate the first 365 days of pure adventure. If you didn't make it out to the party at this beautiful model home in West Fargo, you also missed out on the debut and room reveal of our first annual Design Challenge, featuring nine local designers. Not to worry, we've got it covered. Read on and we'll give you a glimpse inside the party, room reveals and winner announcement, then finish with a tour through the spectacular host home.
