The original Fargo Brewing Company is reimagining the traditional taproom experience.
It’s an unlikely infusion: a fresh cut and a cold beer. Add a little live music and you’ve got an unparalleled atmosphere. This inventive partnership is the brainchild of Fargo Brewing Company partners Jared Hardy, Aaron Hill and Jade Nielsen, and General Manager, Zach Click.
Pre-pandemic, planning for a shared business space seemed like an easy decision. The demand and excitement for craft breweries in the F-M area was booming. In 2020, as restaurants and breweries became uncertain of the future, Fargo Brewing Company doubled down. Despite a few pauses and pivots, planning continued, and new partners signed up.
“The past year has been tough on many folks but we really felt that building with our community would help us all thrive,” said Click. “That’s why our new partners are so exciting for everyone here at Fargo Brewing. Our shared outlook on a bright future is key.”
As it becomes safe to do so, concerts, events and celebrations are slowly filling calendars. People are more excited than ever to spend time with friends, family and neighbors again. Fargo Brewing Company’s new taproom presents a lively and welcoming space to gather.
Since opening the new taproom on April 20, seasonal and fan-favorite craft beers are pouring into pints alongside an event and entertainment space (The Hall), an enticing new restaurant (Nova Eatery) and a one-of-a-kind barbershop (Nice Barber Co). Nice Barber Co will also introduce The Lounge, a separate gathering space for meetings, dinners and celebrations. Adding to the excitement, an additional tenant is expected to join the space later this year.
“We’re just so happy to focus our energy on giving customers a new and improved experience,” said Hill. “We’re thankful for all their support and hope to return that feeling each time they visit us here at Fargo Brewing. I’m sure our new friends at The Hall, Nice, and Nova feel the same way, too.”
As a space designed with the flexibility to host art openings, concerts, private events and other gatherings, The Hall is aptly named. It will serve as a hangout for locals, a space to meet with friends and neighbors again, after a year of isolation and separation. Contemporary and spacious, The Hall invites you to stay a while and listen to live music while you try a new seasonal craft brew. The special partnership with Jade Presents means that your favorite band might be filling up this venue soon.
Nice Barber CompanY
Part hangout space, part savvy barbershop, Nice Barber Company joins this uncommon community space, bringing its own sense of style and comfort. Owners Jade Nielsen and Ian Johnson will operate the barber shop under the expert eye of master barber Branden Ashmore. Nice Barber Company also makes use of “The Lounge,” yet another space for meetings, dinners and small gatherings.
Ashmore says, “Barbershops have been a sort of hangout long before we created Nice Barber Co. We’re excited about this new collaboration that gives people room to relax, feel like they can stay a while and visit with everyone, and leave this place feeling rested and looking sharp.”
