Zimmerman, Amdak Productions Headshot provided by Designer Homes / Lost River Drone shot courtesy of Jack Dwyer With the HBA's Parade of Homes on the horizon, we thought it was the perfect time to offer a sneak peek of what parade-goers have been anticipating. Located in the coveted Lost River development in Horace, N.D., Designer Homes has found the perfect park lot to build their perfect family home. To find out more, we took a tour with Robert Leslie, President of Designer Homes of Fargo-Moorhead. Inside, The McKinley plan has five spacious bedrooms and a thoughtfully designed, open-concept living space, inspired by its peaceful, rural surroundings. Life in Lost RiverBeautiful views of the Sheyenne River merge with an abandoned river channel (Lost River) that runs through this Horace development. From densely-forested river bottom, to open meadows and prairie, Lost River has become one of the area's hottest developments. "It epitomizes quiet, out of town living, but it's still close to all daily amenities. We love the great emphasis that has been placed on creating beautiful parks and community appeal," said Robert Leslie, President of Designer Homes. Inside The Mckinley The McKinley plan is ready for move-in with 3,429 square feet of total space in this rambler floorplan. The main level features three bedrooms, including a master suite, with two additional bedrooms in the lower level. "We designed this to be a very open plan with a deluxe kitchen, large walk-in pantry, spacious great room with fireplace, and large windows overlooking an impressive future park. The main floor has a convenient laundry room near the mudroom and the home comes with a huge, heated and finished garage," said Leslie. The Heart of the HomeAt the heart of the home is a deluxe, open-concept kitchen featuring white-painted poplar cabinetry, high-end appliances, quartz countertops, floating shelves and a stunning, tile backsplash. Staged to SellTo highlight the family room's fireplace with floor-to-ceiling shiplap, Designer Homes worked with staging designer, Heidi Nammour of RE|NEW Spaces. A mix of farmhouse and contemporary touches help define the three main level areas, providing a seamless flow to the nearby dining room and kitchen. Master SuiteCompleting the main level is a stunning master bedroom with a sliding barn door leading to the master bath. If you're looking for custom amenities, look no further. The master features a tile walk-in shower with glass door, accented by classic penny and subway tile. The bath also showcases their espresso-stained poplar cabinetry and dual vanities, paving the way to an extraordinary walk-in closet. Lower Level LUXETake a walk downstairs where you'll find two large bedrooms with oversized, walk-in closets and an impressive game closet that will keep even the messiest family organized. The main area is designed for multi-use configurations, easily accommodating a spacious family room, with plenty of room to create a future recreation or bar area. Designer Homes CollectionsThe McKinley is part of the LUXE Collection; one of Designer Homes of Fargo-Moorhead's three collections of homes. "Our collections are based on standard feature specifications offered, as well as price. Our collections range from homes starting at $269,900 including lot, to custom homes well over $4,000,000. The Ignite Collection is a great way to get a quality Designer Home and be under $300,000 including lot," said Leslie. "We have a great range of floor plans, from ramblers, two story’s and three-level splits available. Standard features in the Ignite Collection are very impressive and a big hit with our Ignite homeowners." Tour The Mckinley Located at 7858 Firefly Lane in the Lost River development in Horace, N.D., The McKinley is currently priced at $449,900. The home is available for tours by appointment or open house, and will also be featured on the HBA's Parade of Homes, along with two additional custom homes. "The Parade will be delayed this year due to the COVID-19 Virus, new dates will be announced as soon as they are confirmed," said Leslie.
