From the advent of our first issue in October, my publisher, Susan Hozak-Cardinal, and I have been eternally grateful for the people who have supported our vision, pushed us and helped us create this publication. They say it takes a village to raise a child, we say it takes a village to publish this magazine. Completing nearly 70 pages of original content and photos, in less than 30 days, requires the talents of many devoted minds and many late nights to finish what we start. For those who have sacrificed time, energy and sleep to contribute to our pages, we sincerely thank you for an unbelievable start to our journey.
This month, we can't wait for you to see what we have in-store ... and at home. On the search for a little Christmas magic, we delved into the Homes for the Holidays Tour, a unique residential-commercial holiday makeover, a renovation on the river, followed by cookies, cocktails and Christmas dinner. We even catch up with a story from last month's issue as the homeowners show us the results of their fall decor's transition to winter.
If that's not enough, get ready to hit the streets with us as we shop small at a few of our favorite, local boutiques. At the end of a long month of shopping, touring and taste-testing, we popped over to Shotwell Floral to get expert advice on creating the perfect tablescape and prepping for your upcoming holiday soiree.
Even though our pages seem to be all about design trends, tips and party planning, our main goal is to simply be entertaining, informative and inspiring. We believe that everyone deserves to live in a space they love, no matter what their budget is. So, we refuse to stop trying to enhance and improve the place we come home to. Afterall, home is where we lay our hearts, nurture our families and cultivate our dreams.
As we head into the holidays, may your home and heart be filled with the blessing of the season.
