Edition 38After the hustle and bustle of this year's Design Challenge, my team and I are ready to head into the festivities of the holidays and onto the final two amazing issues of 2020! This month, the Midwest Nest crew was flattered to be a part of Dan Francis' artwork gracing our cover. We had such a had such a blast during its creation! Throwing it back to days gone by, the word flashback gives a whole new meaning, especially as we enter into this new holiday season. With so many of these new changes among us, celebrations and gatherings are not like they use to be, and we are hoping to offer up a bit of sweet nostalgia of simpler times for our readers to enjoy. You also may notice some exciting changes this month as we at Midwest Nest feel fortunate to have the opportunity to now tap into even more local talent, fresh designs and new ideas.
Our community has so much to offer and we can’t wait to show them off! I am also excited to give our story writers and team members the chance to use some of the pages within Midwest Nest as a platform for those local charities they hold dear to their hearts. This month, I invite you to learn more about Matthew's Voice Project and how you can be that bright light in a child's life and be a part of something truly special this holiday season. Lastly, as a company, one of the biggest things we want to focus on this month and the months to come is the importance of remembering to just be kind. As the saying goes, in a world where you can be anything…be kind. The world needs this now more than ever. Enjoy November’s issue and as always, thank you for inviting Midwest Nest into your homes! With Midwest regard,

As the now Stern home was where I grew up with my parents George and Beth Anderson who built this home, I was very pleased to be sent a copy of the November article by a friend of Dan Francis’ parents. Wonderful photography Dan, and generous space and writing by all involved. I have followed through John and Sherri for years the loving care, insightful enhancements, and true grit in preserving the house from flood and resulting city hall pressures. Thank you for helping to keep this architectural treasure in the public eye.
